what is the best juicer?
what is the best juicer that doesnt get hot and kill all the good enzymes. i was reading about the gold star and it seems like too much work. but the breville elite looks fast but the juice master guy recommends the philips one. what do u think.
I like both Juiceman and Juiceman Jr. I have sold juicers for many years. I’m in retail. The Breville is also a very good unit. I am not familiar with the Philips, since the store I work in doesn’t sell them. Of all the juicers I sell, I have sold the Juiceman units for 11 years. I sell more Juiceman units than other brand, and it’s still the juicer with the lowest return rate out of all the brands that we sell at the store.
I have owned my Juiceman Jr for 8 years. It doesn’t stall on carrots or pineapple like my old Krups juicer did. Also, the pulp container is loose, from the motor portion of the juicer, which is nice, since you’re able to line the pulp container with a plastic bag if you want to facilitate clean-up. The rubber feet are also nice, since it keeps the juicer anchored on the counter. Some juicers without rubber feet “walk” when juicing hard/fiberous veggies or fruit due to the motor vibration. The pulp is very dry, which indicates that you have extracted a lot of juice from your produce.
The Breville Fountain Elite is also nice with similar features, the wide mouth feed tube being it’s strongest selling feature. The unit is a bit on the heavy side and a bit bulky. But it is very powerful. The price is somewhat high, mostly due to it being stainless steel. The performance is comparable to the Juiceman.
The worst for clean-up that we sell is the Jack LaLanne. You have to use the special “key” to unscrew the blade, and we’ve had several returns because the key was broken in use… The key is plastic with a metal insert.
